Since the initial first release of the Power Slide Extension, Theme Joomla have had a great response from the Joomla community. Multiple fixes have been implemented to date, bringing Power Slide Pro to version 1.0.4 and the Power Slide display module to version 1.0.2, which now finally brings the extension to a stable release, as the majority of bugs have been "ironed out".

With many suggestions for features in future releases, Theme Joomla have tasked most of them for a future "Power Slide 2.0" release, which will be completed in about 3-6 months - the philosophy at Theme Joomla is to listen to what people are looking for or missing in their Joomla releases, and implement them either urgently or in a future release. That being said, here is the current to date feature list for the upcoming "Power Slide Extension 2.0" (not named yet):

• Implement Gallery and Slide specific folders and locations.
• Update lightbox to new shadowbox (great lightbox!)
• Work on SEO for gallery content, so that is more accessable.
• Implement a watermark option for image slides.
• Build and allow for templating of the Power Slide front-end.
• Try and create a Picasa and Flickr retrieval option.
• Re-work the sizing of images in slideshows and lightboxes.
• Create a Joomla! plugin for displaying galleries in content.
• Add date and time display option for slides.
• Create ZIP file image upload option Create XML importing and exporting of gallery setups.
• Build internal direct backend linking to content for slides.
